दोस्रो नेपाल जुनीयर खुला लन टेनिस प्रतियोगिता

काठमाडौं कार्तिक २६ गते ।

नेपालमा लन टेनिस खेलको प्रारम्भ धेरै वर्ष अघि भएतापनि विगत ५ वर्षदेखि भनें यसको लोकप्रियतामा क्रमशः वृद्धि हुँदै गएको छ । हाल आएर यस खेल प्रति वयस्कहरु मात्र नभई बालबालिका र किशोर किशोरीहरुको पनि आकर्षण बढ्दै गएको पाइन्छ । जसको फलस्वरुप हाल ६ देखि १६ वर्षसम्मका करिब ६०० जना जुनीयर खेलाडीहरुले निरन्तर अभ्यास गरिरहेका छन् । अल नेपाल लन टेनिस संघलाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय टेनिस फेडरेसनबाट प्राप्त सहयोग रकमबाट करीब २५० जना जुनीयर खेलाडीहरु आफ्नो खेलको स्तर अभिवृद्धि गर्ने अवसर प्राप्त गरिरहेका छन् । हरेक १४ वर्ष मुनीका खेलाडीहरुले थाइल्यान्ड, भारत, बंगलादेश, भियतनाम, म्यानमार र मलेसियामा संचालन हुने क्षेत्रीय स्तरका प्रतियोगीताहरुमा सहभागीताका लागि छनौट हुने साथै अन्तरराष्ट्रिय स्तरको प्रशिक्षणको मौका पाउँदछन् । यसको फलस्वरुप हालेई सम्पन्न सत्रौ एसियन गेम्स मा १२ जना मध्य ८ जना जुनियर खेलाडिहरुले सहभागिता जनाएका थिए ।

खेलाडीहरुको मनोबल उकास्न र उनीहरुको क्षमता वृद्धि गर्न र अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय प्रतियोगिताका लागि समेत तयार पार्न अल नेपाल लन टेनिस संघले प्रत्येक वर्ष ४ देखि ५ वटासम्म जुनीयर टेनिस प्रतियोगिता संचालन गर्दै आएको छ । यही परिप्रेक्ष्यलाई मध्यनजर राखेर जुनीयर टेनिस खेलाडीका अभिभावकहरु जुनीयर खेलाडीको स्तरोन्नति गर्न र उनीहरुको सक्षमतालाई अझ उकास्न अग्रसर भएका छन् । उनीहरुको सक्रियतामा नेपालमा पहिलो पटक प्रथम नेपाल खुला जुनीयर लन टेनिस प्रतियोगिता गत वर्ष मंसिर १ गतेदेखि ८ गतेसम्म सफलता पूर्वक सम्पन्न भएको जानकारी गराउदछु । यसकै निरन्तरताको रुपमा दोस्रो नेपाल जुनीयर खुला लन टेनिस प्रतियोगिता यस वर्ष पनि मंसिर ९ गतेबाट १३ गतेसम्म हुने भएको छ । यसप्रकारको प्रतियोगिताको आयोजनाले जुनीयर खेलाडीहरुले आफ्नो खेल क्षमताको जाँच गर्ने र त्यसलाई अझ परिष्कृत गर्ने अवसर पाउने विश्वास गरिएको छ ।

दोस्रो नेपाल जुनीयर खुला लन टेनिस प्रतियोगितामा ८ वर्ष मुनी, ९वर्ष मुनी, १० वर्ष मुनी, १२ वर्ष मुनी, १४ वर्ष मुनी, र १६ वर्ष मुनीका जुनीयर टेनिस खेलाडीहरुले विभिन्न प्रतिस्पर्धामा एकल र डबल खेलमा सहभागीता जनाउन सक्नेछन् । यी विभिन्न उमेर समुहका जुनीयर खेलाडीहरु बीच पुरुष र महिला तर्फ बेग्ला बेग्लै प्रतिस्पर्धामा खेल खेलाइनेछ । प्रतियोगितामा पहिलो, दोस्रो तथा सेमिफाइनलमा पुग्नेलाइ नगद पुरस्कार साथमा ट्रफि र सहभागी सबैलाई प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान गरिनेछ । यस् प्रतियोगितको जम्मा कुल नगद पुरस्कार एक लाख पचास् हजार (१,५०,०००) रहनेछ । प्रतियोगितामा भाग लिनका लागि एकल खेलका लागि रु.२०० देखि रु.५०० र डबल खेलका लागि रु.६०० प्रवेश शुल्क कायम गरिएको छ । यी सबै प्रतियोगिताहरु ललितपुर सातदोबाटो स्थित अल नेपाल टेनिस संघको क्ले कोर्टमा यही मंसिर ९ गतेदेखि १३ गतेसम्म खेलाइनेछ । इच्छुक खेलाडीहरुले यही कार्तिक २९ र ३० गते भित्रमा आफ्नो नाम समावेश गराइसक्नु पर्नेछ ।

“प्रतियोगिता संचालनलाई सुव्यवस्थित गर्न एक संचालन समुहको व्यवस्थापन गरिनेछ । हामी चाहन्छौं यस प्रकारको प्रतियोगिताबाट हाम्रा जुनीयर टेनिस खेलाडीहरुलाई टेनिस खेल प्रति अझ चासो बढोस् र सरकारले पनि यस खेलको विकासमा ध्यान पुराओस् । अभिाभवकहरुको सक्रियतामा यस्तो प्रतियोगिता नेपालमा आयोजना भएको यो नै पहिलो खेल हो । हामी आफ्ना बालबालिकाहरुले टेनिस खेलमा नाम, प्रतिष्ठा कमाएको र देशको शान बढाउनमा महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निर्वाह गरेको हेर्न चाहन्छौ । आज विश्वमा टेनिस खेलको लोकप्रियता दिनानुदिन बढ्दो छ तर नेपालमा भनें यो अझै ओझेलमा नै छ, यसो हुनुको एकमात्र कारण यो खेल धनीमानीहरुको शौखिन खेल हो भन्ने भ्रम पनि एक हो ।”

हाल टेनिस संघसंग ६ वटा खेल मैदान रहेको छ र नेपालमा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्तरको प्रतियोगिता पनि आयोजना गर्न सकिनेछ । नेपालमै त्यस्ता प्रतियोगिताहरु संचालन भएपछि यस खेल प्रति जन अभिरुची अझ बढ्ने विश्वास गर्न सकिन्छ ।

Rules and regulations for 2nd Nepal Junior Open Tennis Championship / JTI

Singles

U-8 boys/girls – Rs. 200/- (Mini Tennis Half Red Ball, 36 ft. court)

U-9 boys/girls – Rs. 500/- (Orange Dot Ball, 60 ft. court)

U-10 boys/girls – Rs. 500/- (Green Dot Ball, Full court)

U-12 boys/girls – Rs. 500/-

U-14 boys/girls – Rs. 500/-

U-16 boys/girls – Rs. 500/-

Doubles

Open boys/girls doubles – Rs. 600/-

Note: If the numbers of participants are less than 8, in any of the events, the tournament committee will decide.

Rules and Regulations

The tennis tournament will be conducted in accordance with the regulations of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and ANLTA.
The draw (tie sheet) will be prepared on 19^th November,2014 by 10:00 am at ANLTA, Satdobato, tie sheet will be posted at ANLTA Satdobato on 21^st November,2014 at 4:00pm / will be available on www.nepaltennis.blogspot.com. Team Managers, Coaches & Parents are requested to attend the meeting on 19^h November,2014 at 10:00 am for tie sheet draw at ANLTA, Satdobato.
The seed shall be selected by the tournament committee based on the latest available recognized singles/doubles ranking.
Conduct of Match:

i) Tie sheet will be pasted along with the timings on the tournament chart. Managers, Players, coaches and Parents are advised to observe the schedule of play closely. Dates and time of scheduled matches cannot be changed.

ii) All the matches will be played on pro-set basis first to eighth games. There will be advantage given. In case of tie at 8 all, it will be taken as regular tie breaker, for all categories. From quarter-finals onwards, the matches will be played on the best of 3 tie breaker sets for U-12, U-14 and U-16 singles with addvantage. There will be no advantage given for all the Doubles matches, the receiver may ask within to serve the service on deuce court or add court, after the deuce.

iii) U-8 mini tennis, the matches will be played on best of 3 super tie breakers (10 points).

iv) U9 boy and girls matches will be conducted on 60 ft. court on pro-set till final with advantage.

v) U10 boy and girls matches will be conducted on full court on pro-set till final with advantage.

vi) Player(s) should report at the tournament desk 15 minutes before the match time. In case of player failing to reach within 15 minutes of match time, opposition player will get the walkover.

vii) Player(s) shall be entitled to a 5 minutes warm-up period before the match on the court.

viii) Player(s) shall give due regard to the authority of officials, the rights of opponents, spectators and others.

ix) The tournament committee's decision shall be the final in any dispute that may arise.

x) The tournament committee shall appoint necessary officials for all the matches.

xi) There will be ball-boy and roaming umpire till quarter – finals matches.

Players participating in more than one event may have to play two or more than two matches in the same day and at least half an hour rest will be provided before the next match.
Match will be rescheduled in case of rain or any other unavoidable circumstances that may arise.
Participants can participate in maximum of two single events and one doubles.
The organizing committee owes the authority to request the participants to produce his/her original birth certificate provided by the hospital/municipality/VDC for confirmation, in case of doubt within 24 hours.

Note: All the participants, Coaches and Parents must read rules and regulations clearly. The registration fee is none refundable. We would also like to inform you that the organizers will not be responsible for any kinds of loss or damage of goods.

Fee Structure

Because NJOTC is a non-profit entity organized solely to promote the development of tennis in Nepal, in addition to the fee structure required from the participants any additional contribution is greatly appreciated and will be given due acknowledgement from NJOTC. The minimum fee structure for all participants is given below.

Singles Rs. 500/- Double Rs. 600/- Mini Tennis Rs. 200/-

Important Notice:

Players must fill the entry form in block letters.
Participants can participate in maximum of two single events and one double event.
BIRTH CERTIFICATE is a MUST. Entry forms and fees will not be accepted without an accompanying birth certificate.
All birth certificates will be verified by the committee for age appropriateness. If found to be age inappropriate, the participant will be notified and an opportunity for correction will be provided. Refusal to participate in the appropriate age category will result in cancellation.
Player(s) should be dressed in appropriate tennis attire during the play. (No long-pants/trousers are allowed and proper tennis shoes is mandatory
The tie-sheet will be drawn by the committee based on ranking and points earned by past participants. The tie-sheets will be posted on the website. All participants are encouraged to check the website for match-ups. Each day’s winners moving on to the next match up will be updated on the tie-sheet. All concerned participants should check the website to view fresh match-ups. Our website is www.nepaltennis.blogspot.com. All participants are advised not to call unless absolutely necessary.
All participants will be given at least 15 minutes after game time. If not present within 15 minutes, the standing player will move to the next round.
